M-3 Construction updates

6/19/2023

M-3 Nightwork week of June 19, 2023:

Night work is taking place on the M-3 Gratiot project from June 19th until the morning on June 23rd. Crews will be working on curb removal and curb preparation from 8:00p.m. until 6:00a.m. nightly.

7/19/2023

M-3 Nightwork week of June 19, 2023:

Eastbound 16 Mile Road/Metro Parkway at M-3/Gratiot has all lanes open.

Westbound 16 Mile Road/Metro Parkway's right turn lane at M-3 (Gratiot) remains closed through July 24th.

8/25/2023

Northbound M-3 Lane Shift

Crews have completed striping work and reopened the newly resurfaced lanes for travel on northbound M-3/Gratiot. Lane shifts will be taking place to direct traffic as needed. The final layer of asphalt will be placed at the end of the project.

9/14/2023

Northbound M-3 Down to One Lane

Northbound M-3/Gratiot Avenue, from Remick Road to Wellington Crescent Road, will be down to one lane for joint repair work starting Friday, September 15th, from 7:00a.m. until 3:00p.m then again from 7:00a.m. Saturday, through 5:00a.m. Monday, September 18th.

Northbound M-3 Closed for Paving Work

Northbound M-3/Gratiot Avenue, from Remick Road to Wellington Crescent Road, will be closed for paving work from Saturday, September23rd at 7:00a.m. until 5:00a.m. Monday, September 25th.

  • Detour: Northbound M-3 to westbound Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd) to northbound M-97 to eastbound M-59 back to M-3
